The Australia Awards Scholarships (AAS) are funded by the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) and are available for Bachelor’s, Master’s, and PhD degree programs at leading Australian universities and institutions.
According to DFAT, over 1,151 Australia Awards scholarships were awarded in 2025, making this one of the most competitive and sought-after scholarships globally. There is no application fee, and successful candidates are permitted to remain in Australia for up to two years after completing their studies.
