Are you passionate about gender equality, economic justice, and inclusive policymaking? The International Association for Feminist Economics (IAFFE) is now accepting applications for the 2026 IAFFE Feminist Economics School, taking place from July 6–8, 2026, at Universidad Icesi in Cali, Colombia.
This prestigious program brings together 20–30 early-career scholars, practitioners, activists, and policymakers who are working on issues related to feminist economics but may not have had formal training in the field. It is an excellent opportunity to deepen your academic knowledge, strengthen your advocacy work, and connect with leading feminist economists from around the world.
About the IAFFE Feminist Economics School
The IAFFE Feminist Economics School is designed to:
- Provide formal training in feminist economics theory and practice.
- Bridge the gap between economic research and real-world activism or policy impact.
- Offer a collaborative learning environment with workshops, discussions, and mentoring.
- Build a global network of feminist scholars and experts.
The 2026 edition will focus on key feminist economic approaches, methodologies, and policy applications—encouraging participants to reflect on their community experiences and how economics can drive social justice.
Who Can Apply?
To be eligible, applicants must:
Be early-career scholars, activists, professionals, or policymakers. Have either:
- Completed a Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent), or
- At least 5 years of work experience in areas related to feminist economics.
- Have basic English language skills (program instruction is in English).
- Applicants from Indigenous communities, marginalized groups, and those working to promote equality and justice are strongly encouraged to apply.
Costs & Funding
- No participation fee — the program is completely free.
- Travel grants are available for applicants who require financial assistance.
- Accommodation and participation support may be provided depending on funding availability.
