Applications are officially open for the 2025 Global South Study Week in Beirut, Lebanon — a fully funded, one-week program designed for young civil society activists from the Global South. This transformative event will focus on knowledge exchange, advocacy, and building regional solidarity, addressing the pressing challenges to sustainable human development.
The program will run from November 10, 2025, bringing together passionate changemakers to explore alternative governance models, strengthen skills in global development issues, and adapt to shifts shaping the Global South.
Organized by the Arab NGO Network for Development (ANND), Third World Network, Social Watch, Global Policy Forum, and the Asfari Institute at AUB, the initiative covers all expenses — including airfare and accommodation — with no application fee.

Eligibility Requirements
Applicants must:
- Be under 40 years old
- Hold citizenship in a Global South country
- Possess a university degree in development, economics, political/social sciences, international relations, or human rights
- Be endorsed by a local, national, or regional NGO
- Have active involvement in advocacy or coordination work related to:
- Development, multilateralism, global governance
- Debt, trade, investment, tax justice
- Social justice, climate change, biodiversity, agriculture, or gender justice
- Development, multilateralism, global governance
