Dreaming of studying in Europe? The Ministry of Education, Youth, and Sports of the Czech Republic (MEYS) is now offering fully funded scholarships for the 2025/2026 academic year. Duration and Types of Scholarships
Scholarships are typically awarded for 2 to 10 months and may be renewed in subsequent years if the candidate is re-nominated by their home country.

Language of Instruction & Admission
Most programmes are taught in Czech, but some universities offer English-taught courses for scholarship recipients if tuition fees are waived.

Application Process for Czech Republic Scholarships
For EU countries and selected non-EU countries (e.g., Albania, Georgia, Mexico, Mongolia, North Macedonia, Switzerland, Ukraine):
- Applications must be submitted online through a system managed by national authorities.
For other non-EU countries (e.g., Egypt, India, Japan, China, Peru, Korea, Taiwan):
- Applications must be sent to MEYS by the applicant’s national authorities.

A. Short-term scholarships (up to 30 days):

Scholarship Value and Benefits
For the 2025/2026 academic year:
- CZK 12,000 per month (students without a Master’s degree)
- CZK 13,000 per month (students with a Master’s degree)

Health Insurance Requirement

Scholarship Withdrawal Conditions
The scholarship may be suspended or withdrawn if the recipient:
- Is absent from the Czech Republic for over 30 days
- Fails to start studies within 30 days of the planned date
- Terminates or interrupts studies
- Gains permanent residency in the Czech Republic
- Provides false or misleading information
