Fully Funded: MCW Young Leaders Fellowship 2026 in the USA – Apply Now

Applications are now open for the MCW Young Leaders Fellowship 2026 in the United States. This fully funded program brings together young changemakers from around the world to build leadership and management skills in the areas of education, health, and economic security.

The fellowship is a year-long program, combining virtual learning, in-person training in New York, USA, and project implementation in participants’ home communities. No IELTS or TOEFL is required to apply. Students and young professionals from all academic backgrounds (Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD) are welcome.

Program Overview

Program Structure

1. Virtual Community Needs Assessment (1 Month):
   Participants begin with online training focused on community mapping and identifying real challenges in their local areas.
   
2. In-Person Training in the USA (10 Days):
   Fellows travel to New York and Burlington, Vermont to attend workshops, leadership sessions, and present a community issue they want to address.
   
3. Virtual Project Implementation:
   After returning home, participants work on implementing their solutions with continued mentorship and support from MCW.

What the Fellowship Covers (Fully Funded Benefits)

• International round-trip economy airfare (for non-US participants)
  
• Domestic flights within the USA (for U.S. participants)
  
• Accommodation in New York (NYU) & Burlington (Champlain College)
  
• Three meals per day
  
• Transportation between New York and Vermont
  
• Local public transportation to/from JFK, LaGuardia, and Newark airports

Eligibility Criteria

To apply, candidates must:

• Be 18–26 years old at the start of the program
  
• Come from any country or academic field
  
• Identify a community issue related to education, health, or economic security
  
• Be fluent in written and spoken English
  
• Be eligible for a U.S. visa and travel documents
