Applications are now open for the WTO Young Professionals Program (YPP) 2026 in Geneva, Switzerland. This fully funded, one-year training initiative offers young professionals an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in international trade and WTO operations.
Selected candidates will work at the WTO Secretariat in Geneva, receiving a monthly salary of CHF 4,000, along with medical coverage and travel expenses. The program is set to commence in January 2026, and applicants from WTO member countries are encouraged to apply. There is no application fee.

- Accessions
- Agriculture
- Dispute settlement
- Intellectual property rights
- Government procurement (GPA)
- Competition policy
- Market access
- Trade rules and development
- Trade and environment
- Trade in services, investment, and trade facilitation
- Trade policy analysis and trade-related technical assistance

Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible, applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Nationality: Must be a citizen of a WTO member state (Check the official list here)
- Education: Hold an advanced university degree in one of the following fields:
- Law
- Economics
- Other trade-related disciplines relevant to WTO work
- Law
- Work Experience: Minimum of two years of relevant professional experience
- Language: Fluency in English is required
- Age Limit: Must be 32 years old or younger
