About the Internship
Since its launch, the program has welcomed over 70 participants from more than 30 countries, offering a dynamic, multicultural work environment where colleagues from over 60 nations collaborate. Interns experience a personalized rotation system, enabling them to explore various Treasury teams while learning directly from seasoned experts.
- Location: World Bank Headquarters, Washington, D.C.
- Duration: 10 weeks (May 26 – August 3, 2026)
Interns begin with a tailored orientation before rotating through three departments, each lasting about three weeks. The program also features technical workshops, leadership meetings, and career development sessions. Interns will engage with the 300-member Treasury team, including senior directors and the Vice President & Treasurer. Each rotation concludes with a presentation, culminating in a final capstone project.

- Public Holidays Observed: June 19 and July 4
Benefits
- Paid Opportunity: $21.80/hour (net for international interns) – $26.20/hour (gross for U.S. citizens), approx. 400 hours total.

Eligibility
Applicants must:
- Be in the penultimate year of a four-year undergraduate program (graduating between Dec 2026 – Sept 2027).
