Applications are now open for the Czech Republic Government Scholarship 2026/2027, a fully funded opportunity for students from selected developing countries to pursue Master’s or PhD degrees at public universities in the Czech Republic.
Offered by the Government of the Czech Republic, this prestigious scholarship has supported more than 20,000 international students since the 1950s. Scholars not only gain access to world-class education but also enjoy the cultural richness of the Czech Republic — a member of the European Union — with the possibility to travel across Europe during their studies.
The scholarship is available for degree programs taught in English or Czech, and includes a fully funded one-year Czech language course for students studying in Czech.

- Agriculture, Forestry, Fisheries, and Veterinary Sciences
- Security Services
- Interdisciplinary Programs, including Health and Social Care
Financial Coverage
This is a fully funded scholarship that includes:
- Full Tuition Fee Coverage
- Monthly Stipend:
- CZK 16,000/month for Master’s students
- CZK 17,000/month for PhD students
- CZK 16,000/month for Master’s students
- Accommodation, food, and local transportation covered through stipend
- Language training (one-year Czech course if required)
- Note: Travel costs to and from the Czech Republic are not covered by the scholarship.
Eligible Countries
Only citizens of the following countries may apply:
- Europe: Bosnia and Herzegovina, Georgia, Ukraine, Belarus (democratic forces only)
- Africa: Ethiopia, Nigeria, Rwanda, Zambia
- Asia: Cambodia, Sri Lanka
- Latin America & Middle East: Guatemala, Jordan
Citizens of the Czech Republic or EU countries are not eligible. Applicants must hold a Bachelor’s degree to apply for a Master’s program, and both a Bachelor’s and Master’s to apply for a PhD program.
