What is the SUIPRES Scholarship?
The SUIPRES is a competitive scholarship aimed at international students with a track record of academic excellence. It helps reduce tuition fees by equalizing international fees with UK home student fees, currently set at £4,786 per year (subject to a ~3% annual increase).
Note: Applicants must still fund the remaining tuition fees (if applicable) and their living expenses.
Who Can Apply?
To be eligible for the SUIPRES Scholarship, applicants must:
- Be applying to an eligible PhD or Professional Doctorate at Swansea University
- Hold a first-class or upper second-class undergraduate degree and/or Distinction in a master’s (UK or international equivalent)
- Be classified as an international student
- Not currently be enrolled or returning to a doctoral program at Swansea University
- Not be fully funded by any third party
- Be new students applying for their first research degree at Swansea
