Exciting opportunity! Applications are now open for the UNIDIR Graduate Professional Program 2025 in Geneva, Switzerland. This six-month program welcomes international graduates from all over the world. Participants have the flexibility to work remotely or on-site in Geneva, starting in May 2025.
The program offers a generous stipend of USD 1331/month for those based in Geneva and USD 665/month for remote participants. No professional experience or IELTS is required—just fluency in English. There is no application fee.
The program focuses on supporting UNIDIR’s work related to Youth, Peace, and Security (YPS) through research, reporting, and outreach. Check out full details below!

Key Responsibilities
- Conduct background research on Youth, Peace, and Security topics.
- Assist in engaging stakeholders such as UN agencies, civil society, and member states on youth issues.
- Provide support for fundraising initiatives.
- Contribute to UNIDIR’s involvement in UN youth initiatives like Youth 2030.
- Organize and support events, including invitations, agendas, logistics, and follow-ups.
- Handle daily communications, coordination, and administrative duties.
- Carry out additional tasks as assigned.
Eligibility Criteria
- Open to applicants of all nationalities.
- Must be currently enrolled in a graduate-level program (second degree or higher) OR recent graduates who start within one year of earning their degree.
- Preferred academic backgrounds: International Relations, Political Science, Social Sciences, International Law, Gender Studies.
- Strong skills in teamwork, communication (oral & written), and interpersonal relations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe InDesign.
- No prior professional work experience required.
