About the Transformative Research Challenge (TRC)

The TRC is an exciting global initiative led by the WFF Youth Innovation Lab, in collaboration with partners such as FAO, CGIAR, Wageningen University, and IFAD. This challenge empowers youth to develop, refine, and pitch research projects that have the potential to create real change.

Challenge Phases

Concept Submission: Share your vision in a 2-page research proposal.
Evaluation: Stand out to become a semi-finalist.
Mentorship & Training: Refine your idea with expert guidance and masterclasses.
Final Pitch: Present live at the WFF Flagship Event at FAO Headquarters in Rome, Italy, in October 2025.
