Applications are now open for the University of Twente Scholarship (UTS) 2025 in the Netherlands. This prestigious scholarship is designed for high-achieving international students from non-EU/EEA countries who wish to pursue a Master’s degree at the University of Twente.
Located in the heart of Europe, the University of Twente is one of the top public universities in the Netherlands. For the 2025 intake, 50 scholarships will be awarded to outstanding students who demonstrate academic excellence and leadership potential.

Scholarship Benefits
The UTS provides a financial award of €3,000 to €22,000 for one academic year. This amount is intended to help cover study-related costs, including tuition, living expenses, and other educational needs. Students are free to manage the funds as they see fit.
Kipaji Scholarship – Bonus Opportunity
If you’re awarded the UTS, you may also qualify for the Kipaji Scholarship, worth up to €12,000. This is an additional scholarship aimed at students from developing countries, and specific eligibility criteria apply.

Eligibility Criteria
To qualify for the UTS, applicants must:
- First apply and be (provisionally) admitted to a Master’s program at UT.
- Hold a non-EU/EEA nationality.
- Not be a current UT student or Dutch citizen.
- Meet the English language requirement:
- IELTS: 6.5 overall, with 6.0 in speaking
- TOEFL iBT: 90 overall, with 20 in speaking
- IELTS: 6.5 overall, with 6.0 in speaking
- Be eligible for a Dutch entry visa (if applicable).
- Demonstrate academic excellence and motivation.
Admission results may take up to 8 weeks after application.
How to Apply
- Apply for a Master’s Program at the University of Twente via their admission portal.
- Once admitted, you’ll receive a student number.
- Use that number to submit your UTS scholarship application through the official scholarship platform.
