Role Overview
As a trainee, you will support multiple teams in the Legal Division, focusing on International Humanitarian Law (IHL). Key responsibilities include:
- Legal research and analysis
- Reviewing documents and drafting reports
- Assisting with meetings, events, and workshops
- Monitoring developments in IHL and related fields
- Providing day-to-day legal and administrative support
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must:
- Be a national of any country (open to all)
- Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Law or International Relations
- Possess a Master’s degree in Public International Law (or equivalent)
- Have completed at least 20 hours of coursework in IHL or participated in moot courts
- Demonstrate familiarity with one or more of the following:
- Human Rights Law
- Refugee Law
- Criminal Law
- Disarmament Law
- Treaty Law
- Arbitration
- Human Rights Law
- Have up to 1 year of post-graduation experience in international law (or 2 years including unpaid internships)
- Be fluent in English; knowledge of French, Spanish, Arabic, Chinese, or Russian is a plus
