Applications are now open for the Science Diplomacy Summer School 2025, hosted by the Human Sciences Research Council (HSRC) of South Africa in partnership with leading African and international organizations.
This fully funded program is designed to empower African researchers, policymakers, and diplomats with the knowledge, skills, and networks needed to engage effectively in science diplomacy at national, regional, and global levels. Participants will explore the intersection of science, policy, and international cooperation, gaining tools to influence decision-making and foster sustainable collaboration.

Eligibility Criteria
The program welcomes applications from:
- Early- to mid-career researchers (natural or social sciences) based in Africa who are committed to advancing science-informed policy or international collaboration
- Policymakers and government officials engaged in evidence-based policymaking and international cooperation
- Diplomatic professionals working at the interface of science and policy
Applicants should demonstrate a clear interest in science diplomacy and the capacity to contribute actively to program discussions and activities.
