Applications are now open for the Make Our Planet Great Again (MOPGA) Fellowship 2026 in France. This prestigious program, supported by the French Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs in collaboration with the Ministry of Higher Education, Research, and Innovation, will host 60 early-career researchers from around the world.
This is the 9th edition of the MOPGA Visiting Fellowship, fully funded and managed by Campus France, offering international scholars the chance to contribute to global environmental and sustainability research.

Research Themes
Applicants can propose projects within the following scientific areas:
- Earth systems
- Climate change and sustainability
- Energy transition
- Societal challenges of environmental issues
- Human, animal, and ecosystem health (“One Health” approach)
Eligibility Criteria
- Open to applicants of all nationalities except France.
- Must hold a PhD degree awarded between Dec 2020 – Dec 2025.
- Applicants must not have lived in France for more than 90 days between 12 Sept – 12 Dec 2025.
- Maximum age: Early-career researchers only.
- Up to 60 fellowships available.

Candidates will need to prepare the following documents:
- Research project proposal (title, abstract, objectives, methodology, etc.)
- CV (max 4 pages, including publications)
- Copy of PhD diploma or certificate
- CV of French research supervisor (max 2 pages)
- Letter of support from French host institution
- Up to 3 letters of recommendation
- Valid passport or ID
