The Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) Internship Program 2026 is now accepting applications! This exciting opportunity allows students and recent graduates to gain valuable experience at the FAO Headquarters in Rome, Italy.
The internship lasts between 3 to 11 months, during which interns will receive a monthly stipend of up to USD $700 along with medical coverage for service-related incidents. There is no application fee and IELTS is not required to apply.

Eligibility Criteria
To apply for the FAO Internship 2026, candidates must:
- Be nationals of FAO member countries
- Be 21 to 30 years old at the start of the internship
- Be currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a recognized Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD program
- Hold a degree from an institution listed on the World Higher Education Database (WHED)
- Be proficient in at least one FAO official language (English, French, Spanish, Arabic, Chinese, or Russian)
- Not have immediate family members (parents or siblings) working at FAO under any type of contract
- Be able to secure the necessary visa before traveling
