About the Program
The Hamburg Sustainability Conference (HSC) was established to bridge the global representation gap by bringing together visionary young leaders from developing nations.
As an HSC Youth Ambassador, you will:
- Actively participate in shaping and delivering sessions during the conference.
- Share your insights and innovative ideas with global leaders.
- Join panel discussions, attend exclusive meetings, and collaborate with experts.
- Engage with more than 1,600 international delegates, including heads of state, policymakers, journalists, and business leaders.
Before the conference, selected ambassadors will also take part in virtual collaboration sessions to co-develop themes and strategies for global sustainability impact.

Eligibility Criteria
To apply for the HSC Youth Ambassador Program 2026, applicants must:
- Be between 18 and 30 years old
- Reside in and originate from an Emerging Market or Developing Economy (EMDE)
- Demonstrate a strong track record in sustainability, social impact, or community leadership
- Show commitment to advancing the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)
- Be available to attend the Hamburg Sustainability Conference in person
Leadership experience may include founding a youth-led organization, leading environmental projects, or mobilizing communities around sustainable solutions.
Eligible Regions
Open to applicants from low-income, emerging, and developing countries across Africa, Asia, Latin America, and the Pacific Islands.
