This initiative by the Académie de Recherche et d’Enseignement Supérieur (ARES) in Belgium aims to help talented students gain global experience, expand their knowledge, and contribute to sustainable development in their home countries.

Eligible Countries
Africa: Benin, Burkina Faso, Burundi, Cameroon, Ethiopia, Guinea, Kenya, Madagascar, Mali, Morocco, Mozambique, Niger, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Rwanda, Senegal, Tanzania, Togo, Uganda, Zambia, and Zimbabwe.
South America: Bolivia, Ecuador, Haiti.
Asia: Cambodia, Indonesia, Cuba.
Eligibility Criteria
To qualify for the ARES Travel Scholarships, applicants must:
- Be a citizen and resident of one of the eligible countries listed above.
- Demonstrate strong academic performance.
- Present a clear and well-defined plan for their international mobility experience (e.g., exchange, internship, or research collaboration).
- Show motivation to apply the knowledge gained abroad to foster development in their home country.
