This prestigious scholarship—established in partnership with the 8th UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon—supports outstanding students committed to advancing the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Under the patronage of His Excellency Ban Ki-moon, the scholarship empowers young changemakers to pursue a high-quality education at MCI while contributing to global progress and sustainable development. Successful candidates benefit from reduced tuition fees of only €1,500 per year and the opportunity to study at one of Europe’s leading entrepreneurial universities.
About the Ban Ki-moon Scholarship
The Ban Ki-moon Scholarship was created to recognize and support students who are actively engaged in the SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals)—from promoting quality education and gender equality to driving climate action and innovation.
The scholarship applies to both bachelor’s and master’s programs for the first year and may be extended to the second year upon successful academic performance and positive evaluation.
Please note that for Executive Master’s programs, scholarship terms and tuition fee reductions may differ.

- Scholarship Type: Partial tuition reduction
- Value: Up to €13,500 per year (Executive MBA); €1,500 per year (Bachelor’s & Master’s)

Application Requirements
To apply for the Ban Ki-moon Scholarship, candidates must:
- Apply for their chosen study program via the MCI Application & Admission Portal.
- Upload the following documents to the Ban Ki-moon Scholarship Portal:
- Proof of application to an MCI study program
- Motivation letter describing your SDG engagement, future goals, and how MCI studies will help you achieve them
- Explanation of financial need and how the scholarship would support your studies
- Updated CV
- Degree certificate(s)
- Proof of language proficiency
- Passport copy
- Proof of application to an MCI study program
Selection Criteria
Candidates are evaluated based on:
- Current or past engagement with the UN Sustainable Development Goals
- Future commitment to promoting the SDGs
- Feasibility and potential impact of defined goals
- Alignment between the applicant’s SDG focus and chosen MCI program
