Objective of the CERN OPENLAB Summer Program
The CERN OPENLAB Summer Student Program provides computer science, software engineering, and IT students with hands-on experience working on advanced IT and computing projects. Participants collaborate with CERN experts, attend technical lectures, explore CERN’s facilities, and present their project outcomes at the end of the program.

Financial Benefits

- Daily stipend: 93 CHF per day to support accommodation and meals

Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for the CERN OPENLAB Summer Student Programme, applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Open to candidates of all nationalities
- Must be enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program with a strong computing or IT background
- Must have completed at least three years of full-time university studies by Summer 2026
- Students graduating in May 2026 are eligible
- Applicants must remain enrolled as a student during the internship
- Must not have previously worked at CERN
