Applications are now open for the 2027 Atlantic Fellows for Social Equity (AFSE) Fellowship Program, a fully funded leadership opportunity for Indigenous and Pacific changemakers committed to creating lasting social impact in their communities.
Hosted by the University of Melbourne with support from the University of Auckland, the fellowship brings together emerging and experienced leaders working across sectors such as education, health, climate action, governance, storytelling, business, media, arts, and social justice.
The program is designed for individuals already leading change within their communities and looking to strengthen their leadership capacity, expand their networks, and scale their impact.
About the Fellowship
The Atlantic Fellows for Social Equity Fellowship combines leadership development, academic learning, cultural exchange, and community-based action.
Fellows participate in a one-year Foundation Program while continuing their professional work and community engagement. Throughout the fellowship, participants collaborate with leaders from across Australia, Aotearoa New Zealand, and Pacific Island communities.
One of the major components of the fellowship is the Social Change Initiative, where fellows design or strengthen a practical project focused on creating long-term positive change.
Participants also become part of the global Atlantic Fellows network, connecting with leaders across more than 70 countries working to address social and economic inequalities.
