Internship Options
Applicants can choose between two internship formats:
1. Online Internship
Duration: August 24 – September 18, 2026
- Up to 20 working days
- Approximately 80 total working hours
- Flexible schedule of 2–8 hours per day
- Final presentation scheduled for September 18, 2026
2. In-Person Internship in Japan
First Term
- Arrival: October 7, 2026
- Departure: November 26, 2026
Second Term
- Arrival: November 4, 2026
- Departure: December 20, 2026
Participants will work with Japanese SMEs for up to 30 business days and gain hands-on experience in a real workplace environment.

Who Can Apply?
The program is designed for highly skilled international talents who wish to explore career opportunities in Japan.
Applicants must:
- Be citizens of eligible OECD/DAC countries
- Be between 18 and 39 years old as of August 24, 2026
- Be final-year university students or university graduates
- Have not participated in the program between 2016 and 2025
- Be interested in working in Japan
- Possess Japanese proficiency (JLPT N3 or higher) or strong English skills
- Be willing to fully participate in all internship activities and training sessions
- Be able to provide required academic and recommendation documents

Selection Process
The recruitment process consists of three stages:
Stage 1: Document Screening
Applications are reviewed by the Japan Internship Program Office.
Stage 2: First Interview
Selected candidates attend an interview conducted in either English or Japanese.
Stage 3: Company Interview
Successful applicants may be interviewed by a Japanese host company, which will make the final selection decision.
After mutual agreement between the company and the applicant, the internship placement is finalized.
Important Notes
- Applying does not guarantee placement with a host company.
- Once matched with a company, participants cannot withdraw.
- Internships must be completed in full to receive a completion certificate.
- The internship is designed as a professional training opportunity and does not constitute employment.
Expected Result Dates
Online Course
Results expected around the end of July 2026.
In-Person Course (First Term)
Results expected around mid-August 2026.
In-Person Course (Second Term)
Results expected around early September 2026.
