Pediatrix Medical Group is seeking a Board-Certified/Board-Eligible Pediatric Intensivist to join the healthcare team at Timpanogos Regional Hospital, part of the MountainStar Children’s Network in Orem, Utah. Where You’ll Practice
- Combined 8-bed pediatric floor and 4-bed community-based PICU
- Average daily census: 4–6 combined PICU/pediatric patients
- Average 300 annual admissions
What You Can Expect
- Join a 3-physician team with shared responsibilities
- 24/7 split coverage of both units, including morning rounds and call from home
- Work-life balance: ~10.5 days of call per month (shared weekends and holidays)
- 1–2 outpatient sedations per week (primarily MRIs) – training provided
- Focus solely on pediatric and PICU care (no newborn coverage required)
- Occasional tele-consults with a satellite inpatient unit in Ogden, UT
- Collaborate with a network of primary care pediatricians and pediatric subspecialists, including cardiology, gastroenterology, surgery, anesthesia, orthopedic surgery, craniofacial/plastic surgery, otolaryngology, and interventional radiology
- Support from a Level III NICU, comprehensive pediatric programs, and administrative staff
Qualifications
- Board-Certified in Pediatrics
- Board-Certified/Board-Eligible in Pediatric Critical Care
- Eligible for H-1B or J1 Visa Waivers
