Applications are now open for the World Forum for Democracy Youth Delegation 2026, a fully funded international opportunity for young leaders to participate in the World Forum for Democracy in Strasbourg, France, from 30 October to 5 November 2026.
The programme will bring together around 50 young participants from across the world to contribute youth perspectives on democracy, participate in discussions with policymakers and activists, and attend a two-day training before the forum.
Who Can Apply?
Applicants must:
- Be 18–30 years old
- Be able to work in English
- Be available for the entire programme, including online preparations (September–October 2026) and activities in Strasbourg
- Represent a youth organisation or movement working on democracy, youth participation, or civic engagement
- Be able to share the outcomes of the forum within their community or organisation
Previous involvement with the Council of Europe youth sector is an advantage but is not required.

Programme Dates
- 30 October 2026: Arrival
- 31 October – 1 November: Youth delegation training
- 2–3 November: World Forum for Democracy
- 4 November: Youth Day
- 5 November: Departure
- Application Deadline: 14 August 2026 (14:00 Strasbourg time)
