Are you a passionate young leader working to protect the ocean and address climate change? Apply now to become part of the World Ocean Day Youth Advisory Council 2025 — a global team of 20 to 25 changemakers (ages 16–23) united by a shared commitment to marine conservation and sustainability.
Since its launch in 2016, the Youth Advisory Council has helped shape World Ocean Day into a powerful international platform for awareness and action. Council members play a key role in planning, promoting, and amplifying global environmental campaigns while continuing their own community-based work.

What You’ll Do
As a Council Member, you’ll:
- Contribute to World Ocean Day planning and outreach
- Promote ocean awareness campaigns globally
- Support and collaborate with fellow youth leaders
- Share ideas, plan events, and propose strategies
- Attend quarterly virtual meetings, complete occasional surveys
- Participate in digital advocacy training
- Engage actively via email, WhatsApp, and optional joint projects

Eligibility Criteria
To apply, you must:
- Be 16 to 23 years old as of January 1, 2025
- Be fluent in English and have reliable internet access
- Have experience in environmental or conservation initiatives
- Be committed to continuing your environmental work during your term
- Have a strong desire to collaborate and inspire others
Experience in organizing or advocacy is a plus but not required.
