Applications are now open for the Helsinki Security Forum (HSF) 2025, taking place from 19th – 21st September 2025 in Helsinki, Finland. This flagship event brings together youth delegates, policymakers, and experts from around the world to discuss Europe’s most pressing foreign and security policy challenges.
The Youth Delegate program is designed to amplify fresh perspectives from young leaders under 30, offering them the opportunity to contribute innovative ideas on defense and international security.

Financial Benefits
Selected youth delegates will receive full sponsorship, which includes:

Theme of the Forum
The 2025 forum will be held under the theme:
“The Hour of Europe”
Selected participants will:
- Take part in high-level discussions on European and global security issues.
- Publish an essay as an official HSF Insight on the forum’s website.
- Network with international leaders, policymakers, and security experts.
Eligibility Criteria
To apply, candidates must meet the following requirements:
- Open to applicants of all nationalities.
- Must be under 30 years old.
- Relevant academic or professional background in security, defense, international relations, or related fields.
- Submit a completed application form and a 700–1000 word essay on a security or defense topic.
- Willingness to share experiences on social media during and after the forum.
