About the Role

SpillDeBeans Cafe is a busy community-focused cafe serving fresh breakfast and lunch menus seven days a week. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking menu items, maintaining food quality standards, and ensuring smooth kitchen operations.

Key responsibilities include:

Preparing and cooking breakfast and lunch dishes
Maintaining food quality and presentation standards
Ensuring compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations
Managing stock levels and assisting with inventory control
Supporting menu development and daily specials
Working closely with kitchen and front-of-house staff
Following workplace health and safety procedures

Eligibility Requirements

Applicants should have:

At least 1–2 years of experience working in a commercial kitchen
Strong knowledge of kitchen operations and food preparation
A valid Food Safety or Food Handler Certificate
Ability to work independently and within a team environment
Flexibility to work weekends and rostered shifts

Preferred Qualifications

The following will be considered an advantage:

Certificate III or IV in Commercial Cookery
Experience in baking or patisserie
Knowledge of stock control and cost management
