Applications are now open for the Eric Bleumink Scholarship 2027 at the University of Groningen in the Netherlands. The prestigious scholarship supports outstanding international students from eligible developing countries who wish to pursue a Master’s degree at one of the Netherlands’ top universities.
Funded through the Eric Bleumink Fund, the scholarship aims to help talented students who demonstrate academic excellence and leadership potential but lack the financial means to study abroad.

Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for the Eric Bleumink Scholarship, applicants must:
- Have received provisional or unconditional admission to a Master’s programme at the University of Groningen before February 2027.
- Demonstrate outstanding academic performance.
- Have excellent undergraduate grades.
- Meet the English language requirements of the chosen Master’s programme.
- Be available to complete the entire duration of the programme.
- Be in good health to qualify for health insurance in the Netherlands.
- Hold the nationality of an eligible developing country.
- Have no other financial means to fund their studies.
Selection Process
The University of Groningen Admission Office, together with the faculty admission boards, will review eligible applicants and nominate candidates for the Eric Bleumink Scholarship.
Only applicants who have already received a provisional or unconditional admission offer before February will be considered.
To allow sufficient time for the admission process, applicants are strongly encouraged to submit their Master’s application before 1 December 2026.
How to Apply
Interested candidates must first apply for admission to an eligible Master’s programme at the University of Groningen. Eligible applicants will then be considered for nomination for the Eric Bleumink Scholarship.
