About Atlantic Dialogues
Atlantic Dialogues is an annual international conference organised by the Policy Center for the New South. It brings together policymakers, academics, business leaders, researchers, media professionals, and civil society representatives from Africa, Europe, the Americas, and other regions.
The 2026 conference will focus on political, economic, social, and environmental developments shaping the Atlantic Basin. Participants will engage in discussions about global challenges, African perspectives, international cooperation, and the future of the Atlantic space.
The event will also feature the presentation of the Atlantic Currents report, which examines economic and geopolitical developments across the African Atlantic region.
Volunteer Responsibilities
Selected volunteers will work with PCNS staff during the preparation and delivery of the conference. Responsibilities may include:
- Supporting event logistics and administrative activities.
- Assisting with conference production.
- Helping with communications activities.
- Providing media and event-related support.
- Coordinating conference activities.
- Working with different PCNS teams.

Volunteer Period and Location

The main Atlantic Dialogues conference will take place from December 10 to December 12, 2026. Volunteers are expected to remain available throughout the full assignment period and should be prepared to work flexible hours when required.
Eligibility Criteria
The Atlantic Dialogues volunteer opportunity is aimed at students and young professionals interested in international conferences, public policy, diplomacy, communications, international relations, and related fields.
Applicants should:
- Be pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree.
- Be fluent in English.
- Ideally have proficiency in French and/or Arabic.
- Have strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrate an interest in the Atlantic region and its political, economic, social, or environmental developments.
- Be available throughout the volunteer period.
- Be willing to work flexible hours.
- Demonstrate punctuality, reliability, professionalism, and respect.
- Have previous event-management experience if possible, although it is not required.
