Types of EPFL CYD Fellowships
1. CYD Master Thesis Fellowship (6 Months)
This track allows Master’s students to conduct a 6-month research project at the CYD Campus, under the supervision of a professor from a Swiss institution.

- Funding: Monthly living allowance + research allowance
- Eligibility:
- Open to all nationalities
- Must be enrolled in a Master’s program
- Endorsement from a supervising professor is required
- No age restrictions

2. CYD Doctoral Fellowship (Up to 4 Years)
This fellowship supports PhD students throughout their doctoral studies in partnership with a Swiss university professor.
- Funding: Full salary + research & living allowance + conference expenses
- Eligibility:
- Open to all nationalities
- Enrolled in a Swiss doctoral program
- Preference for early-stage PhD candidates
- Professor endorsement required
- Open to all nationalities
3. CYD Distinguished Postdoctoral Fellowship (Up to 2 Years)
This postdoctoral track supports highly qualified researchers in undertaking cutting-edge projects at the CYD Campus with mentorship from Swiss university faculty.
- Funding: Salary + living allowance + research & conference support
- Eligibility:
- Open to all nationalities
- Endorsement from a professor required
- Must be entering a new research environment
- Open to all nationalities
