Applications are now open for the European Parliament Schuman Traineeships 2026. International applicants from both EU and non-EU countries are eligible to apply for this paid traineeship program in Europe. The traineeship lasts for five months and offers graduates the opportunity to gain professional experience within one of the world’s leading political institutions.
Each year, the European Parliament selects around 1,000 trainees to work in cities such as Brussels, Luxembourg, and Strasbourg, as well as in Liaison Offices across EU member states. Selected participants will receive a monthly stipend, travel support, and hands-on experience in different professional fields. There is no application fee.

Eligibility Criteria
To apply, candidates generally must:
- Be at least 18 years old
- Hold a university degree
- Have strong knowledge of one EU language
- Have good knowledge of another language
- Not have worked for an EU institution for more than two consecutive months
- Meet the requirements of the selected traineeship position
Certain positions may also be open to applicants from non-EU countries.

How to Apply
