Fully Funded to Australia: Apply Now for the Australia Pacific Youth Climate Dialogue 2025

Applications are officially open for the Australia Pacific Youth Climate Dialogue 2025, a fully funded three-day event happening this October in Canberra, Australia.

Organized by UNICEF Australia and UNICEF Pacific, in collaboration with the Australian National University, Western Sydney University, and other partners, the Dialogue will bring together young climate leaders from Australia, New Zealand, and the Pacific Islands.

This platform empowers youth to share knowledge, strengthen regional networks, and engage directly with policymakers ahead of COP30 in Brazil and a potential COP31 hosted by Australia in partnership with the Pacific.

Why This Dialogue Matters

Young people are at the frontlines of climate action—serving as advocates, entrepreneurs, lawyers, diplomats, first responders, and community leaders. Despite their leadership, youth voices often remain underrepresented in climate decision-making at national and global levels.

The Dialogue seeks to change that by ensuring young perspectives are central to shaping solutions for a sustainable future.

Backed by the Bridging Hope Charity Foundation, the event also integrates creativity, resilience, and cultural expression into its vision for inclusive climate action.

Program Details

Dates: Monday, 27 October – Wednesday, 29 October 2025
Location: Canberra, Australia
Preparatory Course: All selected participants must complete the ICEDS Climate Essentials Short Course (free, online) from 29 September – 19 October 2025.

Territories: Guam, Northern Mariana Islands, French Polynesia, Cook Islands, Niue

Applicants must hold a valid passport (valid through at least June 2026).
