Applications are now open for the 4th edition of the Tsinghua Global Youth Dialogue (TGYD) 2026, an international youth exchange initiative hosted by Tsinghua University.
This 14-day immersive program will take place from June 27 to July 10, 2026, bringing together young leaders from around the world for a transformative journey across three major Chinese cities: Hangzhou, Shanghai, and Beijing.
The 2026 theme, “Bridging the Divides,” focuses on fostering dialogue, collaboration, and joint solutions to global challenges by connecting Chinese and international youth in meaningful exchange.

Program Structure: Three Cities, Three Narratives
Hangzhou – “Smart China”
Discover China’s rapid advancements in the digital economy, AI innovation, and smart manufacturing. Participants will visit leading tech companies and explore the harmony of technology and tradition around the iconic West Lake.
Shanghai – “Open China”
Experience one of the world’s most dynamic global cities. Engage with youth-led startups, innovation hubs, financial institutions, and port logistics ecosystems while exploring Shanghai’s vibrant international environment.
Beijing – “Cultural China”
Join civilizational dialogues at Tsinghua University, visit historical and cultural landmarks, and collaborate in thematic workshops focused on future-oriented solutions.

Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must:
- Be 18–35 years old
- Demonstrate leadership in a practical project (research, business, social impact, etc.) addressing global challenges
- Show strong interest in international cooperation in areas such as:
- AI & Digital Transformation
- Climate & Sustainability
- Culture & Inclusion
- Peace & Security
- Arts, Sports & Tech Innovation
- AI & Digital Transformation
- Represent a youth-led or international organization (preferred but not mandatory)
