Applications are now open for the EJN Our Ocean Conference Fellowship 2026, a fully funded opportunity for journalists worldwide to attend and report from a major global event in Mombasa, Kenya.
The 11th Our Ocean Conference, taking place from June 16–18, 2026, will mark the first time the event is hosted in Africa. This year’s theme, “Our Ocean, Our Heritage, Our Future,” will focus on pressing ocean-related challenges and solutions, including sustainable fisheries, marine conservation, and climate action.
Selected fellows will attend the conference, engage with global experts, and produce impactful stories from the event.

Eligibility Criteria
