Applications are now open for the World Bank Government Analytics Fellowship 2026 in the United States. This prestigious six-month hybrid fellowship is open to applicants worldwide and includes a two-week in-person residency in Washington, D.C.
The program is designed to help governments unlock the power of their data resources to make better decisions, improve operations, and strengthen public service delivery. Guided by World Bank experts, academic scholars, and insights from the Government Analytics Handbook, fellows will learn to transform big data into actionable policy solutions that create systemic change.
If you are a citizen of an ODA-eligible country, the World Bank will cover your travel, accommodation, and meals for the residency in Washington, D.C.

The World Bank Government Analytics Fellowship is tailored for mid-level government managers and senior analysts. It equips participants with the tools to design and implement data-driven projects that enhance governance and administration.

Eligibility Criteria
To apply, you must:
- Work in a central government agency.
- Hold a mid-level management or senior analyst role with authority to design and implement analytics projects.
- Be nominated by your organization (maximum of two fellows per institution).
- Have completed college-level statistics or quantitative coursework.
- Be fluent in English.
- Be able to attend the two-week residency in Washington, D.C.

- Curriculum Vitae (max 3 pages).
- 150-word project summary describing how you will apply government analytics to improve your organization’s operations.
- Official endorsement letter from your organization confirming your role and nomination.
