Eligibility Criteria
To qualify for the Alberta Graduate Excellence Scholarship (AGES) 2026, applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Citizenship: Be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, protected person, or an international student with a valid study permit.
- Residency: Must live in Alberta while enrolled (even if studying remotely).
- Program Level: Enrolled full-time in a Master’s (Years 1–4) or Doctoral (Years 1–6) program, or in a graduate certificate that can lead to a Master’s degree.
- Academic Performance: Maintain a minimum GPA of 3.3–3.5 (depending on institution).
- Academic Standing: Be in good academic standing and not on probation.
- Course Load: Enrolled in at least 60% of a full course load (or 40% for students with disabilities).
- Nomination: Students must be nominated by their faculty or department; direct applications are not accepted.
