Civil society organizations led by young people or working with youth in the Great Lakes Region are invited to apply for the Youth in Action Peace Award 2025. This prestigious regional initiative aims to recognize and celebrate the outstanding contributions of youth-driven organizations advancing peace and security.
The award covers six countries in the region: Burundi, Democratic Republic of Congo, Kenya, Rwanda, Tanzania, and Uganda.
About the Youth in Action Peace Award
The Youth in Action Peace Award is part of the Youth, Peace and Security (YPS) Flagship Programme, designed to spotlight organizations that have made a meaningful impact on peacebuilding.

- Open to youth-led or youth-focused organizations.
- Applicants must have been actively engaged in Youth, Peace and Security (YPS)-related projects within the past five years.
- Winners and runners-up will receive regional recognition, financial support, and increased visibility.
