Applications are now open for the University of Science and Technology of China (USTC) Research Internship 2026. This fully funded international internship is designed for Bachelor’s, Master’s, and PhD students who want to gain hands-on experience in cutting-edge research under the supervision of top professors at USTC.
The internship program runs for 3 to 11 months, offering participants an opportunity to develop advanced research skills, experience academic life at one of China’s most prestigious universities, and immerse themselves in Chinese culture. There is no application fee, and students from all over the world are eligible to apply.

Eligibility Criteria
- Open to all nationalities (non-Chinese passport holders).
- Age: 18–40 years.
- Education: At least a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Health: Must be in good physical and mental condition.
- Clean criminal record.
- Strong English language skills (no IELTS/TOEFL required, but proficiency is expected).
