The Government of the Czech Republic is offering scholarships for international students from selected developing and other eligible countries to study at public universities in the Czech Republic during the 2027/2028 academic year.
The scholarships support selected Master’s and Doctoral programmes, taught in Czech or English.

Eligible Countries
For the 2027/2028 academic year, applicants must be citizens of one of the following countries:
- Bosnia and Herzegovina
- Georgia
- Ukraine
- Belarus (democratic forces)
- Ethiopia
- Gabon
- Mauritania
- Zambia
- Bangladesh
- Cambodia
- Palestine
- Guatemala
- Honduras
Only citizens of the listed countries are eligible for this scholarship cycle.
Available Programmes
The scholarship supports selected full-time programmes at Czech public universities.
Czech-language programmes
Applicants from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Georgia, Ukraine and Belarus can apply for selected two-year follow-up Master’s programmes. Successful applicants will first complete a one-year Czech-language preparatory course.
English-language programmes
Applicants from eligible countries can apply for selected:
- Two-year follow-up Master’s programmes
- Three- to four-year Doctoral programmes
The available programmes and fields are limited to those approved for the 2027/2028 scholarship cycle.
Eligibility Requirements
For Master’s programmes, applicants must have completed a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification.
For Doctoral programmes, applicants must have completed a Master’s degree or equivalent qualification.
Applicants for English-taught programmes must also complete an online English-language entrance test as part of the application process.
Applicants for Czech-taught programmes must complete the required general study prerequisites test.

- Each applicant can register and submit only one application.
- Applicants should prepare their required documents, motivation letter and tests before submitting the application.
- Make sure to check the official scholarship guidelines to confirm the available programmes and specific requirements for your country.
- Important Information
- This scholarship is not open to applicants from all countries. You must be a citizen of one of the eligible countries listed above.
- The scholarship award is also competitive and not guaranteed. Selection will be carried out according to the conditions set by the Czech Government.
