Applications are open for young people interested in joining the Nordic Youth Climate Action (NYCA) delegation at COP31, the 2026 United Nations Climate Change Conference in Antalya, Türkiye.
COP31 will take place from 9–20 November 2026. NYCA plans to select around 12 young delegates to attend the conference in person for approximately one week.
What the Opportunity Offers
Selected delegates will receive:
- Travel support up to a specified limit
- Shared accommodation in Antalya
- Daily food stipend
- Opportunity to attend COP31 in person
- Networking with young climate advocates and international stakeholders
- Exposure to international climate negotiations
- Experience in climate policy and advocacy

What Will You Do at COP31?
Delegates will be expected to spend around 3–4 hours per day on NYCA activities, which may include:
- Attending daily delegation meetings
- Following climate negotiation tracks
- Meeting country delegations and NGOs
- Supporting NYCA communications and social media
- Participating in side events
- Contributing to youth climate advocacy
- Networking with other participants
Delegates will also have time to follow negotiations and explore the wider COP31 programme.
Before COP31
Selected participants will take part in approximately six online meetings and NYCA capacity-building sessions.
They should also expect to spend around 25 hours preparing independently, including attending webinars, contributing to the NYCA Position Paper and reading relevant climate-policy reports.
Who Can Apply?
Applicants must:
- Be a member of Nordic Youth Climate Action (NYCA)
- Have ties to one or more Nordic countries
- Be available to attend COP31 in Antalya
- Demonstrate an interest in climate action and youth advocacy
- Be willing to actively participate in NYCA activities
If you are not yet an NYCA member, you will need to join NYCA before applying.
Previous climate-policy experience is not required. NYCA is also interested in giving young people who are newer to climate policy the opportunity to gain experience.
