A branch partner-led clinic at Medivet Thorpe St. Andrew is seeking a dedicated Part-Time Veterinary Surgeon to join their supportive team.
The practice is led by Gerhard, who has over 20 years of experience with Medivet and is also a Vet GDP advisor. The successful candidate will work alongside two vets, a head nurse, two RVNs, two student nurses, and two patient care assistants. The clinic handles a general medical and basic surgical caseload, supported by a loyal and friendly client base.
This is a permanent, part-time role of up to 21 hours per week, spread across two days (Thursday and Friday, 09:00–19:00), with 1 in 3 Saturdays (full or half day). Flexibility may be available to suit individual needs.
Located just east of Norwich, Norfolk, the clinic offers ample parking, avoiding city rush-hour traffic, and an excellent work-life balance. The nearby Norfolk Broads provide plenty of opportunities to enjoy the outdoors.

Role Responsibilities
In this role, the successful candidate will:
- Deliver exceptional clinical care during consultations and procedures
- Provide clear updates and support to clients about their pets’ treatment
- Prepare accurate treatment and care plans with transparent cost estimates
- Uphold the highest standards of clinical and regulatory compliance
- Mentor and develop the nursing team to strengthen clinic performance
- Ensure smooth patient handovers for out-of-hours or enhanced care
- Share clinical best practice within the clinic and the wider Medivet network
Skills and Experience
- RCVS registered Veterinary Surgeon
- Strong clinical and client care experience
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Demonstrated clinical leadership skills
- Experience in supporting nurse consults and schedule 3 procedures
- Skilled in coaching and influencing colleagues
- A progressive approach to clinical culture
