Applications are now open for the 2026 YDN Global Assembly, an international youth leadership gathering organized by the Youth Democracy Network (YDN). The event will take place in Panama City, Panama, from June 26–27, 2026, under the theme:
“Democratic Leadership: Built by Generations, Led by the Next.”
The Assembly will bring together young leaders, policymakers, civil society organizations, universities, and democracy advocates from around the world to discuss the future of democratic participation, governance, and youth leadership.
The event will also be held alongside major international meetings such as the Community of Democracies Ministerial Conference and the General Assembly of the Organization of American States (OAS).
About the YDN Global Assembly 2026
The YDN Global Assembly is designed to serve as a global platform for dialogue, collaboration, networking, and leadership development focused on democracy and civic engagement.
Participants will engage in high-level discussions and interactive sessions exploring topics related to:
- Democratic governance
- Youth participation in leadership
- Civic engagement
- Education and development
- International cooperation
- Innovation in democracy
The programme also aims to strengthen intergenerational collaboration by connecting young changemakers with experienced policymakers and global institutions.
About the Youth Democracy Network (YDN)
The Youth Democracy Network is an international platform connecting young leaders from more than 80 countries across Africa, Asia, Europe, Latin America, and other regions.
The organization works to promote youth inclusion in democratic processes through leadership training, advocacy, collaboration, and civic participation initiatives.

Eligibility Criteria
To apply for the YDN Global Assembly 2026, applicants must:

- Be fluent in English or Spanish
- Show strong interest in youth leadership and democratic participation
