Applications are now open for the AI Colony Academy Genesis Cohort 2026, an 8-week, fully funded AI training programme for people living in Africa.
The programme is designed to help participants develop practical AI skills, work on real projects and build skills they can apply to their careers, businesses or professional goals.
Courses Available
Applicants can choose one of four courses:
- AI for Product Management
- AI Automation
- AI for Software Engineering
- AI for Marketing
Each course includes 16 sessions, with two live sessions every week, supported by pre-recorded learning materials and hands-on projects.
Participants who successfully complete the programme requirements will receive a certificate.
What Does the Scholarship Cover?
The Genesis Cohort is offered as a fully funded scholarship, meaning:
- No tuition fees
- No hidden course fees

Who Can Apply?
To qualify, applicants must:
- Be 18 years or older
- Be living in Africa
- Have access to a laptop or desktop computer
- Have reliable internet access
- Be able to commit to the full 8-week programme
- Attend two live sessions per week
- Be willing to complete the required final project or course artefact

Selection may consider:

- Demonstrated capacity – Your previous work, experience, projects or studies
- Course fit – Whether your chosen course aligns with your goals
- Commitment – Your ability to participate and complete the programme
