Applications are open for a limited number of travel grants to support participation in the 2nd International Conference on Human-Wildlife Conflict and Coexistence, taking place in Bangkok, Thailand, in March 2027.

Who Can Apply?
You do not need to have registered for the conference before applying for a travel grant.
However, priority will be given to applicants who meet one or more of the following criteria:
- Live in a country that is not classified as high-income by the World Bank
- Are a student from any country
- Have submitted an abstract for a talk, poster or session at the conference
- Are involved in a session that has been submitted by another person
This means students and participants from low- and middle-income countries may have a particular advantage during the selection process.
What Funding Is Available?
Applicants can apply for only one type of support.
There are two main categories:
1. Conference Registration Support
Successful applicants may receive a waiver or reimbursement of the conference registration fee.
If you have not yet registered, the organizers will provide you with instructions to register and confirm your place.
If you have already registered and paid, the registration fee may be reimbursed if your application is successful.
2. Travel Funding
Applicants may receive either:
- US$500, or
- US$1,000
towards their travel costs.
The travel grant will be provided in cash at the conference in Bangkok on March 3, 2027.
The award letter will provide details about the arrangement.
Important: Funding Is Limited
There are only a limited number of travel grants available.
Submitting an application does not guarantee that you will receive funding.
Applications will be assessed based on the available funding and the programme’s selection criteria.
Applicants should therefore make sure they clearly demonstrate why financial support would help them participate in the conference.
Do I Need to Register for the Conference Before Applying?
No.
You can apply for the travel grant even if you have not yet registered for the conference.
However, priority may be given to applicants who have submitted an abstract for a talk, poster or session, or who are involved in a session submitted by someone else.
